Archbishop Chapelle High School – Joan of Arc Center – Library Renovation
The renovation of Archbishop Chapelle High School’s 12,000 sf traditional library transforms a space previously centered around renting books, periodicals, and VHS tapes into a versatile center adapted to the needs of the current tech-focused curriculum. The goal was to establish a contemporary and inclusive environment that promotes both academic achievement and a strong sense of community. The redesigned space prioritizes flexibility, catering to various group sizes, focus levels, and collaborative needs. A variety of seating styles accommodates diverse individual and group study preferences while also meeting the requirement of adapting to a full faculty meeting space. Designed with a STEM lab, Virtual Reality Classroom, Presentation Classroom, Multi-Media Room, book stacks, recording studio, and versatile study areas, the space honors the school’s traditions while embracing innovation, establishing the library as a central hub for student development and engagement.
