Cait is passionate about fostering people's engagement with their environment through well thought out design. Originally from Lafayette, she holds a Masters of Architecture from University Of Louisiana at Lafayette.

In her free time, Cait enjoys camping, hiking, and spending time in City Park.

Mark Brupbacher

Architect

Mark Brupbacher excels at overseeing the construction of projects and handling everyday issues that arise during construction. It gives him great joy to watch his designs come to life.

Originally from Metairie, Mark received his Architecture degree from Louisiana State University. In his free time, you can find him cheering on the Fighting Tigers, playing ball with his grandson, or constructing projects in his workshop.

Clarissa Costa Lima

Architect

As an Architect in STBA's healthcare studio, Clarissa enjoys being able to bring clients' visions to life. She also enjoys the technical side of how buildings actually come together. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Clarissa graduated from Penn State with a Bachelors of Architecture.

In her free time, you can find Clarissa outside playing with her dog, reading a good book, or spending time with her friends.

Karla Daigle

Administrative Professional

Karla Daigle keeps the office running smoothly from day to day. She enjoys working with the talented architects and designers at Sizeler Thompson Brown Architects.

Brian Faucheux

Born and raised in New Orleans, Brian Faucheux holds a Master of Architecture from Tulane University. He has worked on a diverse array of educational, governmental, community, private, and public projects for STBA.

Anna Bertucci Ghelase

Associate

For Anna Bertucci Ghelase, when it comes to design problems, the more challenging the better. Taking great satisfaction in finding unexpected solutions to puzzling situations, Anna specializes in designing innovative healthcare environments.

A New Orleans native and a graduate of the Tulane University School of Architecture, Anna likes to spend her spare time on crafty projects—rehabbing and creating furniture or making jewelry.

Madeleine Matchett

Director of Interior Design

Born and raised in Harahan, Louisiana, Madeleine holds a bachelor's in Interior Design from Louisiana State University. She has vast experience in all areas of healthcare design, as well as education, corporate office, and retail. She enjoys creating spaces that reflect the personality of her clients and their brand, and constantly educates herself on the newest products. Her favorite types of designs include elements of irony and humor.

In her free time, Madeleine can be found going on road trips, listening to podcasts, hiking, drinking tea, and reading.

Heather McLellan

Controller

Heather McLellan has a background in tax and accounting work, with a previous career in video and film production. She enjoys working with creative professionals on their financial and accounting challenges.

Originally from Madison, Wisconsin, Heather received her Communications Degree from the University of Wisconsin and then completed the Pre-CPA Program at the University of New Orleans. In her free time, you can find her either at a festival, her favorite local coffee shop, or at a dance class with her little girl. She also has quite the creative side, and usually has a knitting or cross-stitching project in the works.

Crystal Mitchell

Architect

Crystal Mitchell specializes in designing higher education facilities, libraries, and community centers. She is a skilled problem solver and enjoys collaborating with creative minds.

A New Orleans native, Crystal graduated with her Masters from Tulane University School of Architecture. In her free time, you can find her lunching with friends, admiring exhibits at the New Orleans Museum of Art (NOMA), enjoying the outdoors at City Park, and working on home projects.

Jordin Neyrey

Interior Designer

As a member of the Interiors Department, Jordin enjoys enhancing experiences through the creation of interior environments. Originally from Metairie, Jordin is a graduate of Louisiana State University.

In her free time, she enjoys cooking and baking, visiting a new restaurant, and walking on the levee with her family.

Tan Nguyen

Architect

Tan Nguyen holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Louisiana State University. He is particularly passionate about creating designs that seamlessly integrate with their environment, aiming to enhance the quality of life through architecture for the current generation.

In his spare time, Tan enjoys various outdoor activities such as exploring new places, hiking, and camping. Additionally, he engages in crafting and indulges in video games as part of his hobbies.

Allen D. Ohlmeyer

President | Director of Healthcare Design

A native of New Orleans, Allen Ohlmeyer earned his Bachelor of Architecture from Louisiana State University in 1991. Specializing in healthcare environments, Allen is passionate about improving the patient experience from the top down. He is proud of the continued success of STBA’s healthcare studio and is continually heartened by his colleagues’ commitment, talent, and attention to detail.

Whenever the opportunity arises, Ohlmeyer heads to the coastal marshes of St. Bernard Parish in pursuit of redfish and speckled trout. A volunteer with the Louisiana Cooperative Marine Fish Tagging Program, Allen has tagged 386 fish to date—fifteen of which have been recaptured. Having married into a Cajun family, he is a lover of seafood and spirited gatherings.

Samantha Staviss

Design Professional

Samantha holds a Master of Architecture and a Master of Science in Historic Preservation from Tulane University, building on her foundation of a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Samantha's expertise lies in finding inventive solutions when working with existing buildings, aiming to enhance both their functionality and the overall experience. Her commitment to preserving the historical context while infusing modern functionality showcases her dedication to the craft of architecture.

Beyond Architecture, Samantha enjoys sewing, crochet, and crafting in all forms. She is also a frequent visitor to craft markets and botanical gardens.

Katie Sumich

Interior Design Professional

Katie Sumich, graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Interior Design and is WELL AP certified.

Her love for transforming spaces is evident in her use of innovative color schemes and patterns. Through her work, she strives to create environments that not only aesthetically please but also contribute to the overall well-being of the occupants.

Outside of design, Katie is an avid reader, enjoys exploring new recipes, taking leisurely walks with her goldendoodle Fozzie, playing Trivia, or playing piano.

Steve Templet

Associate

A native of South Louisiana, Steve Templet graduated from the University of Texas in 1990. With more than 30 years of professional experience, he is devoted to the development of health and wellness spaces that promote both better care and quality of time spent in the environment. Serving as the 2022 President of the Board of Regents of the American College of Healthcare Architects, Steve was elevated to a Fellow of the College, a distinction granted to less than 50 healthcare architects nationally. Steve has led master planning and design projects at numerous local healthcare facilities and often leads educational sessions at national design conferences related to health and wellness design.

Away from work, Steve enjoys spending time with his family, carpentry, hunting, and enjoying the outdoors.
