Louis Armstrong Airport Concourse D Expansion

The Concourse D Expansion was divided into two phases. The first phase included programing, air side studies, aircraft parking and gate layouts, and design and construction documents for the renovation and expansion of the 72,800 sf Concourse D at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport. Phase two involved the addition of six new gates to the concourse. Focusing on passenger amenities and comfort, it also added retail services and a large food court. All communication and security systems are fully integrated with the airlines, FAA, TSA and other airport-wide systems.

Over the past 25 years, Sizeler Thompson Brown Architects has played an instrumental role in many projects at the Airport. We appreciate the efforts and dedication by the staff on completing our Concourse D expansion projects. Sizeler Thompson Brown Architects was selected as the design/engineering firm that provided for such a beautiful and functional enhancement to the Airport facilities.
