The East Expansion project is a two-story, 79,000 SF addition and 14,000 SF renovation to the existing hospital. The project includes a new Emergency Department with separate ambulance and ambulatory entrance canopies, Cath Lab Suite, Infusion Therapy Suite, Laboratory, Inpatient Pharmacy, relocated Nuclear Medicine Suite, and renovations to the Radiology Department. The twenty-two-bed Emergency Department contains two Major Trauma Rooms, separate Pediatric Fast-Track area, Observation Unit, two large centrally located Nurse Stations, administrative office suite, and a Family Waiting area specifically designed to help minimize stress and anxiety. The Cath Lab Suite contains three labs with space for a future fourth lab, a centrally located control room that serves all labs, Patient Holding and Recovery area, and staff support spaces.
