Stand Up MRI

An independent group of physicians and investors approached Sizeler Thompson Brown Architects to design a unique MRI facility. Unlike traditional MRI equipment which enclose patients who are lying down, the "Stand-Up Open" MRI technique creates a more comfortable, less confining examination process for patients. The client wanted a completely functional facility to house the MRI equipment and support services as well as an attractive look. The result is a contemporary and high-tech design to reflect the medical technology utilized in the facility.
